Welcome to VelocityVille.com, the fastest video community on the planet! We at VelocityVille.com have created a site meant to please the palette of anyone who loves speed in all its forms. It is also a site where the standards are family oriented and like any family, there are rules.

Before you sign up and start posting your video clips, please review these brief guidelines:

• 1. VelocityVille.com is not for pornography or sexually explicit content. Also, be advised that we will report child exploitation.
• 2. Don't post videos showing dangerous or illegal acts of any kind.
• 3. VelocityVille.com is not a shock site. This is a site about speed, and while many of the clips will have accidents associated with fast moving people or machinery, we are not about blood and gore.
• 4. Respect copyright. Only upload videos that you made or that you have obtained the rights to use. This means don't upload videos you didn't make, or use content in your videos that someone else owns the copyright to, such as music tracks, snippets of copyrighted programs, or videos made by other users, without their permission. Read the Terms of Use for more information.
• 5. Hate speech, which contains slurs or the malicious use of stereotypes, intended to attack or demean a particular gender, sexual orientation, race, religion, or nationality is not allowed.
• 6. There is zero tolerance for predatory behavior, stalking, threats, harassment, invading privacy, or the revealing of other members' personal information. Anyone caught doing these things may be permanently banned from VelocityVille.com.

Violations of the Terms of Use may result in a warning notification or may result in termination of your account and deletion of all your videos. We decide whether we believe your violation of our Terms of Use should result in termination of your account. If you have an account terminated you are prohibited from signing up for another account.

Creating an account

Creating an account is like all our videos... Fast! Simply click on the Sign up link at the top of every page in VelocityVille.com, fill out your real email address, user name and password. You will receive a confirmation email with a link to click to activate your account. That's it! The only rocket science going on in here is the Space Shuttle video!

Once your account is created, you can log in and edit your account and personal information by clicking the My Profile link.

Uploading Video

Log in to your account and select the "Upload" button from the navigation bar. You will be asked for a title, description, tags, which are simply search words relating to your video, and which category(s) to place your video.

Click the "Continue" button and in the new screen click the "Browse" button to select your video. To let anyone view your video leave "Public" selected for Broadcast.

Click the upload button and wait! This will take a period of time to upload depending on the size of your video and the speed of your internet connection. When the upload is complete, VelocityVille.com will let you know with a successful upload message.

Tips on creating video for sharing on VelocityVille.com

Most videos on VelocityVille.com are under five minutes long. There is a 10-minute length limit. Longer videos require more compression to fit in the 100MB size limit, and the quality will go down as the length of the video goes up.

VelocityVille.com accepts video files from most digital cameras and camcorders, and cell phones in the .AVI, .MOV, and .MPG file formats.

We recommend the MPEG4 (Divx, Xvid) format at 320x240 resolution with MP3 audio, at 30 frames per second. Resizing your video to these specifications before uploading will help your clips look better on VelocityVille.com.
